Roll your own (RYO) often called Rollies, Roll Ups or Hand Rolled refers to a cigarette made with loose tobacco and rolling papers.

Rolling papers are small sheets, rolls, or leaves of paper which are sold for rolling one's own cigarettes either by hand or with a rolling machine.

Roll Your Own products are sold as a pouch of tobacco with enough tobacco to prepare 40 hand-rolled cigarettes with the rolling papers provided in the pouch. They are also sold separately for those who wish to buy variant papers or include filters.  Loose filters can also be bought and added to the rolled cigarettes.

Roll-your-own tobacco, sometimes referred to as hand-rolling tobacco or fine cut, is almost certainly the oldest form of smoking, pre-dating the use of the earliest pipes.

Roll your own became the choice of cost-conscious smokers, or people who enjoyed the ritual of making their own cigarettes.

The Tobacco industry manufactures roll-your-own tobacco in pouch form. Pouches are packed by weights of 25g, 30g, 40g and 50g, with smaller quantities of roll-your-own tobacco being packed by hand and limited edition packs.
